This introductory workshop will familiarize participants with the foundational tools and techniques required to carve wooden utensils, as well as other greenwood handcrafts. Students will carve wood utensils, learn the difference between working green and seasoned material, study which local species are best for treen, and practice how to safely use axes and knife to fashion beautiful, functional objects.
