Stories Matter: Storytelling Workshop
Adult | Available
Stories Matter! Workshop is a four-week interactive storytelling program designed to help participants uncover, craft, and share the stories that matter most to them. Under the guidance of Gayle Turner, Founding Storyteller of The Storytellers Channel, participants learn the structure and process of effective storytelling, receive constructive feedback, and practice their craft in a safe, supportive environment.
The program culminates in a live public performance at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, where participants share their finished stories with the community. Performances are video recorded and archived at StorytellersChannel.com.
This collaboration directly supports The Cultural Arts Center’s mission of “Building Community Through the Transformative Power of the Arts.” By elevating the everyday stories of community members and transforming them into shared cultural experiences, the Stories Matter! program demonstrates the power of storytelling as an art form to bring people together.
