What happens when we intentionally make the "wrong" color choices? In this experimental workshop, students will begin by mixing strange “ugly” colors on purpose, then use those very mixes to create rich and unexpected paintings. Drawing inspiration from color theory, Fauvism, symbolism, and personal instinct, we’ll explore how any color, no matter how off-putting, can become beautiful in the right context. Participants will leave with a painting and a transformed sense of color, freer, braver, and more intuitive.
