Richardson, Vernon

Vernon J. Richardson is Distinguished Professor of Accounting and the Glezen Chair in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. He served as Accounting department chair. He is also a visiting professor at the International Business School Suzhou, Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University. He received his BS, MAcc, and MBA from Brigham Young University and a PhD in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has taught students at the University of Arkansas, University of Illinois, Brigham Young University, Aarhus University, University of Kansas, Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University and the China Europe International Business School (Shanghai). Dr. Richardson has authored textbooks in financial accounting, accounting data analytics and accounting information systems with McGraw Hill. He was formerly editor at the Accounting Review and is currently an editor at Accounting Horizons. He also served as associate editor at MIS Quarterly and the Journal of Information Systems. He has published articles in the Accounting Review, Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Contemporary Accounting Research, MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Operations Management, and the Journal of Marketing.
