This course provides a hands-on course experience that allows participants to address current issues within their organization. Participants are introduced to a variety of tools and skills including focused problem statement, fishbone diagram, cause and effect and the why, why analysis to help them understand how to problem solve while delivering improvements. Lunch and light snacks will be served.
Who Should Attend:
Work teams with a current issue they would like to address. The issue should be a result or KPI that is not at target/goal with multiple unknown root causes that contribute to the gap in results. Teams can vary in size from 3-8 people.
Benefits:
Participants will learn problem solving skills that can be implemented immediately. Teams will address a current issue within their organization and be able to identify a solution at the conclusion of the course.

• Ability to streamline a large vague problem into a focused problem statement
• Utilize brainstorm fishbone theories to generate ideas for solutions
• Identify and use cause and effect diagrams to validate theories
• Understand root causes through the why-why analysis
• Build an action plan to eliminate root causes and improve results
• Standardize the final solution using the Golden Triangle
