Dancing in the Rain Revisited
Lifelong Learning | Available (Membership Required)
This psychology course will once again have three basic objectives: 1. To explore positive coping strategies useful amidst life's various challenges, 2. To determine the basic ingredients of a so-called positive attitude and a life lived fully, and 3. To discuss ways we can not only support ourselves, but others as well. Course content will draw from positive psychology, therapeutic communication and stress management theories. As a long-term practicing psychotherapist working with those coping with life threatening medical illness or loss, Dr. Reiss has met many inspiring heroes, including Pittsburgh's beloved Randy Pausch Ph.D. of The Last Lecture fame. So psychological theory will be interspersed with true stories that exemplify positive coping and lives well lived.
