Throughout our lives we gather facts that become information. We salt information with experience to create knowledge. We play with knowledge and materials to propose new concepts and products. But how do we discover wisdom - our own personal wisdom - the wisdom of the soul? In this course we will explore ways to begin to do just that.
Welcome to Exploring Your Wisdom Self! In class we will reflect on what we value and what legacy we will leave for others. Because of the personal nature of these reflections, we will actually write these reflections in class. So, bring notebooks, pens and wisdom words with you. We will sit with a Socrates, saint, or guru at our sides and record our conversations with them. Now, don't be concerned about what you will write about. We will all be pleasantly surprised at what our wisdom selves will reveal when we honor them with our attention. I know that I've had that experience myself!
Carolyn Heil
Carolyn Heil, PhD, is certified through the Institute of Noetic Science in the "Aging with Grace" program. She also is certified in Reiki, Quantum Energy Transformation, and MARI. During her career in education, Carolyn developed and administered programs in both Gifted and Career Education for local school districts. She served as the Director of Teacher Education for La Roche University for 5 years. She is interested in the relationship between spirituality and contemporary studies of consciousness. As a member of a local woman's organization, Carolyn assists with program coordination and offers devotional reflections at meetings. Carolyn recently completed a compilation of her poetry which is autobiographical in nature. She looks forward to continue to explore these topics and other ideas with the local community.
