This class will explore the themes of culture and the way it shapes communication and society. We will discuss how culture shapes many forms of human expression (art, music, education, film) and sharpen our cultural competence and cross-cultural communication skills.
Natasha Garrett
Dr. Garrett holds a Ph.D. in international education from the University of Pittsburgh. She previously served as the director of International Student Services and as an instructor in the International Studies and Communications Departments at La Roche. She now works as the Assistant Director, Student Success and Global Readiness at the University of Pittsburgh. As a Macedonian in Pittsburgh, she is passionate about everything cross-cultural—education, literature, art, food/drinks and people.
