Ben Franklin: the Autobiography

Lifelong Learning | Available (Membership Required)

This book discussion group will read and examine an essential work of the American literary canon: The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin.  We'll trace Franklin’s rise from a humble printer’s apprentice in Boston to a leading public figure in Philadelphia and an internationally known statesman.  Participants will consider Franklin as both a historical figure and as a literary craftsman.

Participants will need access to Franklin's autobiography. There are plenty of editions out there, including free online versions.
