South America has a rich storytelling tradition shaped by Indigenous beliefs, European colonization, African traditions, Catholicism, and the continent’s dramatic natural environment. This seminar introduces memorable legends from several regions and considers what they reveal about nature, morality, cultural identity, and history.

Adrienne Earle

Adrienne M Earle is an educator who believes learning should never stop. She has taught adult education at Rock Valley Community College in Illinois and continuing education courses in Pennsylvania through the Community College of Allegheny County and Community College of Beaver County. Her academic interests include literature, history, folklore, and the classical humanities, and she enjoys bringing these subjects to life through engaging discussion and storytelling. She is excited to work with the Adventures in Lifelong Learning community and share her love of learning with others.
