Walking Historical Friendship - Sept 25

Lifelong Learning | FULL (Membership Required)

Friendship is nestled between Bloomfield and Garfield and a very underrated east end neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Friendship was designed as a streetcar suburb and its houses were meant for professional and middle management class families with rising wealth in the Victorian period, featuring elaborate architectural embellishments and both front and back yards. It is a mix of Victorian, Edwardian, Four-Square, Colonial Revival, and Arts & Crafts homes, features such as high ceilings, plaster walls, stained glass windows, and ornate woodwork. Come join myself and the President of the Friendship Community Group as we explore Friendship neighborhood.
