Discover the freedom of painting without a predetermined plan. Open to all skill levels, this workshop explores an intuitive approach using watercolor, ink, and gouache. Beginning with spontaneous ink marks rather than preliminary drawings, participants will develop compositions through color, shape, line, and texture while exploring the elements and principles of design as they emerge organically. Ongoing demonstrations, individual guidance, and group discussion will help strengthen each painting as it evolves. Stan Kurth
Artist and workshop instructor Stan Kurth created his first oil painting at the age of four. It was at that time he knew he would be an artist. An aunt, who was an artist and instructor, was a major influence. His focus and dedication to his work have earned him signature member status in several watercolor societies including the National Watercolor Society, San Diego Watercolor Society, Western Federation of Watercolor Societies - Master, Arizona Watercolor Association and Contemporary Watercolorists of Arizona. Stan is a third generation native Arizonan.
